Hot Waikiki Nights

It's a hot, humid summer night in Waikiki with plenty of things to do. Restaurants, bars, shows, shopping - the options are endless in this urban paradise. Some nights in Waikiki are best spent walking about taking in the tropical cityscape and feeling the salty sea air on your skin. You never know where the night may take you. If you're lucky, you might be watching the sunrise from Waikiki beach with someone you've met along the way. We suggest sealing the evening with a kiss as the first rays of sunlight peek from behind Diamond Head. The perfect ending to a Hot Waikiki Night.  XOX

Aloha L'Aperitif

Tucked away within the prestigious Halekulani Hotel resides the french inspired bar, L'Aperitif. Each cocktail has been artfully arranged by Colin Field, the Chef du Bar of the legendary Hemingway Bar at The Ritz Hotel Paris. Elegant in both appearance and taste, a red rose and petite size pairing arrive at the table as the perfect compliment to each designer cocktail. Our personal favorite is the Hemingway Old Fashioned, Makers Mark Bourbon married with lemon and orange over ice, paired with a parmesan phyllo crisp in a pool of balsamic syrup. If you dare, our in house whiskey lover recommends the Mach 2, Laphroaig and Green Chartreuse, coupled with the salmon cornet. Their engagement is perfectly sweet and smoky.

Colin Field will be guest bartending the week of September 22nd at L'Aperitif. Mark your calendar; rumor has it he's been known to share a few secrets from his cocktail shaker. A votre sante!

Red Bull PARTY WAVE 2014

On Sunday, June 13th, Red Bull hosted the first annual Party Wave event in our backyard of Kuhio Beach. Six water crafts took over Queens surf break to compete for the first ever title and an all expense trip to Las Vegas for the Red Bull Air Races. Winner of the Party Wave was the "Gnarly Nomads," the Oregon Trail themed wagon craft that had the longest ridden wave of the day. Shout out to the West Maui team "Unsinkable," who dramatically sank before reaching the surf break.
